New Mould – NOW AVAILABLE TO ORDER
A04066 Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U2 & U4

In an unexpected appearance, Airfix is proud to announce the NEW MOULD 1:72 scale A04066 Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U2 and U4.
The new mould Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U2 & U4 in 1:72 scale isin stock! This kit features 137 crisply detailed parts, 2 schemes to choose from, measuring 226mm in wingspan and 175mm in length.
The Messerschmitt Me410 was developed as a heavy fighter but went on to perform several roles such as night fighter, bomber destroyer and reconnaissance. Entering service two years later than scheduled in 1943 as a replacement for the Me210, the aircraft featured several distinctive features including the twin gun barbettes. The Me410 was essentially a development of the 210 featuring a lengthened fuselage, revised wings and more powerful engines. Although the Me410 performed well, it entered service too late to make an impact on the tide of war and was soon relegated to reconnaissance roles.
Ranked at skill level 2, the 1:72 scale Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U2 & U4 features two schemes, each with their own weapon configuration. Scheme B depicts the Me410A-1/U4 with a rotating barbette, showing quite a distinct version with this piece of armament attached. The kit also allows for poseable ailerons, slats and radiator flaps and with the choice of drop tanks. The elevators have two poseable positions, which is based on the LiDAR scans for added accuracy to the kit.
Scheme A: Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U2, 11./Zerstörergeschwader 26, Gardermoen, Norway, 1945.
Scheme B: Messerschmitt Me410A-1/U4, Stab II./Zerstörergeschwader 26, Königsberg, 1944

Thanks to Airfix for the news.
