News from Tamiya of 2 new 1/35 kits we can expect very soon, and both interesting WW2 German Panzers. Personally I welcome the new Marder 1 in particular and am looking forward to that being released.

35370 1/35 German Tank Destroyer Marder I

This is the latest subject in the long-running Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniature
Series. The Marder I was one of the early German efforts to update a military
that – despite crushing early successes against Poland and the Allied early in
WWII – was in sore need of mechanization. Based upon the French Lorraine
supply tractor, it was one of a number of commandeered vehicles pressed
into German service. Around 170 were produced from May 1942, and their
7.5cm Pak40 anti-tank gun was a threat to Allied AFVs in France post-
Normandy landings, and also on the Eastern Front and even North Africa.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.
• Tamiya designers worked up close with a
specimen in the Musée de Blindés, Saumur.
The result is a highly accurate depiction of the
compact chassis and bulging upper hull, complete
with rivet and weld line details.
• Interior features gun breech detail, sights,
racks, radio equipment and more.
• Assembly type tracks have single piece straight
sections.
• Bogies have an ergonomic parts breakdown.
• Two figures are pictured looking to the skies,
hinting at the breakdown of air control from their Luftwaffe
after the Normandy landings.
• Comes with three marking options, two from Normandy and one
from the Eastern Front.

35374 1/35 German Tank Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.F

Germany’s Pz.Kpfw.IVwas a stalwart of the WWII effort, serving from start to finish of the conflict. Manufacture began in 1936 with the Ausf.A, and went through a number of specifications before what was perhaps the definitive short barrelled variant started production in 1941: the Ausf. F. It had reinforced armour and updated hull designs, as well as an L/24 75mm gun. Around 460 rolled off of the production lines, serving on the Eastern front as Nazi Germany grappled with the Soviet Union, and in North Africa
About the Model
• This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.
• In-depth research at the German Tank Museum in Munster
contributed to this highly accurate kit, which
features brand new parts across the board (only the lower hull
and wheels are existing designs).
• Assembly type tracks capture the main Ausf.F design with
lightened centre guide sections. Tracks are
assembled on an included jig to help recreate realistic upper
run ‘sag.’
• Choose between two types of engine deck hatch, with or
without louver.
• Comes with three figures (commander, gunner and loader) for
installation in the model’s various hatches.
• Markings are included to recreate a choice of two different
Eastern Front vehicles.
• Includes a full colour painting guide and four-language
background story.
