24085 Russian-Ukrainian War series, Kit №1. Ukrainian soldier, Defence of Kyiv, March 2022
...in 1/24, a new figure due from MB Models
Master Box new kit of September-October 2022 - 24085 "Russian-Ukrainian War series, Kit №1. Ukrainian soldier, Defence of Kyiv, March 2022".
On February 24, 2022 first the whole Ukraine, and then the whole world woke up from explosions of Russian missiles and shells. Thus began the unprecedented, for the 21st century, war: the Russian federation, supported by Belarus, launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, pursuing two goals: the complete destruction of Ukraine as a state and the complete restructuring of the entire world order.
The forces of the parties were initially so unequal that most officials from different countries allotted to Ukraine, as a state, no more than three days of existence. However, the incredible courage and resilience of all the defence forces of Ukraine, as well as the resilience of the civilian population of Ukraine, together with the ever-growing assistance of democratic countries, allowed the Ukrainians to stop the first blow, and then to throw out the invaders from four northern regions of Ukraine. Ukraine's losses are very heavy. However, russia, instead of a three-day victorious march, got an exhausting, difficult war with such heavy losses in all fields of the economy, in a social field and in international politics, that the prospect of ending this war may well become the collapse of russia itself and the disappearance of this country in the form in that it exists currently.
Kit 24085 opens the series of the kits dedicated to the subject of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 1/24 scale.
The choice of 1/24 scale is due to the growing popularity of this scale among the modellers who focus on figures. This is due to the fact that, on the one hand, this scale allows the manufacturer to make a much more detailed figure than in 1/35 scale, on the other hand, this allows the modeller to make a figure with a special sophistication.
The kit represents a moulded sprue with the parts for assembling one figure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighter. The fighter is made in winter uniform for March 2022, during the most difficult and, at the same time, the most successful battles for Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The figure of the soldier is made in a free pose, with a hand raised in a characteristic “victory” gesture.
Two options of weapons and ammunition are offered for the modeller: the figure can be made with a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and with pouches for this weapon that is typical for the Army, or with an assault rifle M4A1 with that the Ukrainian special operations forces were armed.
The figure is made at a high artistic level and, in fact, it represents a very high-level sculptural miniature. Despite the relative simplicity of the offered composition, the kit bears the whole story.
We would like to emphasize that the part of the proceeds from the sale of this kit will be used to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The kit is made in 1/24 scale.
